Only the website administrator can change tracked channels, discovery or connection settings. Public visitors can explore statistics without signing in.

Optional Twitch API setup

You can collect public chat without any login or keys. This optional setup adds viewer counts and channel details, and lets you switch to authenticated EventSub chat collection.

  1. Create a Twitch application

    Sign in to the Twitch Developer Console ↗. Enable two-factor authentication on your Twitch account if prompted. Choose Register Your Application and use a unique app name.

  2. Set the callback and app type

    Add this exact OAuth redirect URL:

    http://localhost:8787/auth/callback

    Select Website Integration (or the closest available category) and a Confidential client type. Register, open Manage, then generate a New Secret.

  3. Save your application keys below

    These are application keys, not your Twitch password. You never need to send them to ChatGPT.

After saving keys, authorize read-only chat access. No posting permission is requested.

The cloud server stays online independently of your browser. Anonymous IRC access is not guaranteed by Twitch’s documented authentication flow and can stop working. 2026 participation may be imported from permitted third-party archives. If you add credentials, do not share the data folder—it contains server-side credentials and tokens.
